Toowoomba TAFE Gas Fitting Workshop

The Toowoomba TAFE Gas Fitting Workshop project delivered a modern training facility designed to support specialised vocational education and hands-on trade development.

The works involved demolition of existing structures and refurbishment of K Block to create a two-storey facility incorporating gas fitting workshops and classrooms. Additional purpose-built training structures were also constructed, including dedicated gas pod, caravan and boat training buildings, providing realistic environments for practical instruction.

Delivered within a live education campus, the project required careful coordination to maintain safety and minimise disruption to surrounding operations. Strong collaboration with QBuild, TAFE representatives, subcontractors and suppliers supported efficient program management and consistent site performance. The completed facility provides contemporary, industry-aligned training environments that strengthen practical learning outcomes for students undertaking gas fitting and related trade qualifications.
