St Joseph’s Primary School, Cairns

The St Joseph’s Primary School Covered Walkways project in Cairns delivered a series of new link structures designed to enhance connectivity, safety and comfort across the campus.

Located within the inner-city precinct of Parramatta Park, St Joseph’s Primary School is a long-established Catholic facility with a history of ongoing upgrades and modernisation. The works involved construction of covered walkways to connect key buildings, providing sheltered access for students and staff and improving circulation throughout the site.

The walkways were designed to protect users from inclement weather while creating clear, defined pedestrian pathways that support movement between learning areas and assist in organising functional zones across the campus. Delivered within an operational school environment, the project required careful coordination to minimise disruption while achieving a practical and well-integrated outcome that enhances the overall usability of the school.
