The Stage 3 expansion of San Damiano College in Yarrabilba delivered significant new teaching and campus infrastructure ahead of the 2025 school year, strengthening the College’s capacity within a rapidly growing community.
Delivered within a live school environment, the project comprised construction of two new multi-level buildings — the Elizabeth (E2) Science & Technology extension and the Francis (F) Building providing additional General Learning Areas — together with alterations to the existing Bonaventure (B) Building to create a new hospitality space and expanded canteen facilities. Extensive civil works included delivery of a new ring road, carparking and supporting infrastructure to enhance circulation and site functionality.
With up to 65 workers onsite daily, disciplined program management, proactive subcontractor coordination and structured stakeholder communication were critical to maintaining momentum despite severe weather events. An early decision to construct an all-weather access road significantly reduced disruption and supported productivity across multiple work fronts. The completed expansion provides contemporary, future-focused learning environments and modernised campus infrastructure, delivered to the satisfaction of Catholic Education stakeholders.
