The Mooloolaba State School project delivered a new purpose-built Learning Centre comprising seven General Learning Areas (GLAs), a dedicated STEAM facility (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), outdoor learning areas and an extensive covered external space designed for assemblies and school events.

Delivered within a live school environment, the project required careful planning and staging to minimise disruption and maintain student safety. Site access was reconfigured via a neighbouring street, enabling full separation from school operations, particularly during peak drop-off and pick-up periods. Despite industry-wide material shortages, accelerated procurement and proactive programme management ensured critical milestones were achieved and overall delivery remained on track.

During the course of the works, the scope was expanded to include construction of a new league-standard football field, which has since been completed and well received by both the school and the broader community. The project also held particular significance as the first delivered by Bryant’s Sunshine Coast regional office, demonstrating strong local leadership and delivery capability.

Strong community engagement was maintained throughout delivery, including collaboration with a neighbouring kindergarten where a safe viewing area was created to allow children to observe the construction process. The kindergarten later expressed their appreciation through a collection of paintings and a thank you letter.
