Kilcoy State High School

As part of the Queensland Government’s School Halls Program, this project delivered a new multipurpose hall at Kilcoy State High School, providing a modern and flexible indoor facility for sport, assemblies and community events.

The new building incorporates a full-sized basketball court, performance stage with integrated audiovisual systems, dressing rooms, additional General Learning Areas, staff offices, kiosk facilities, storerooms and amenities. Constructed on the lower oval, the works included significant earthworks to elevate the building platform above existing overland flow paths, ensuring compliance with flood and environmental requirements.

Delivered within a live regional school environment, the project required proactive coordination to manage challenging ground conditions and adverse weather impacts. Strong collaboration with local suppliers and the school community supported successful delivery and strengthened regional capability. The completed hall provides a contemporary, enclosed venue that enhances sporting, cultural and community engagement opportunities for the school and wider Kilcoy community.
