The 82 East Street Ipswich project delivered a six-storey social housing development comprising 20 apartments, including 15 one-bedroom units, five two-bedroom units, platinum and gold level accessible accommodation, a community room and basement parking facilities.
Constructed on a constrained inner-city site, the project presented significant logistical and coordination challenges, including limited laydown space, restricted trade access, traffic management requirements and complex authority interfaces. The development required careful staging and close coordination with neighbouring properties and stakeholders to maintain program efficiency and site functionality throughout delivery.
Despite the complexity of the site and the impacts associated with COVID-era construction conditions, the project was successfully delivered, providing high-quality social housing outcomes and contemporary accommodation designed to support long-term community needs.
