Gordonvale State High School – Early Years Centre

Located at Gordonvale State School, the Early Years Centre project delivered a purpose-built childcare facility designed to support early learning and development within the school environment.

The development incorporated all key elements of a modern early childhood facility, including specialised learning areas and integrated external landscaping designed to support play and interaction. The project required detailed coordination to deliver both the building and surrounding works within a compressed programme.

Delivered within a tight timeframe of less than six months to align with the start of the 2016 school year, the project was completed successfully through disciplined planning and efficient construction delivery. The completed facility provides a high-quality early learning environment and was recognised at the Far North Queensland Housing and Construction Awards 2016, receiving the ‘Education Facilities up to $5 million’ award.
