Energy Queensland Warehouse Workshop (Maryborough)

Stage 1 of the Maryborough Depot redevelopment formed part of a broader upgrade program aimed at improving compliance, mitigating safety risks and enhancing operational efficiency across the site.

The works focused on Warehouse Building 1 (BG1), home to the Secondary Systems and Communications team and associated workshop and testing facilities. Scope included full roof and cladding replacement, comprehensive building restoration, removal of ACM from Buildings 1, 2 and 3, installation of insulation during roof replacement, and replacement of awnings and roof framing.

Early value engineering initiatives during slab redesign delivered cost savings and improved build efficiency, reinforcing the benefit of proactive design review at project commencement. The completed refurbishment provided a compliant, safer and more functional facility, strengthening operational capability at the Maryborough depot.
