Rocklea
The Energy Queensland Esitrain Redevelopment involved the staged transformation of the Rocklea Training Facility, Energy Queensland’s largest training campus. Delivered across two stages within a live operational environment, the project modernised the facility and supporting infrastructure while maintaining continuity of critical training operations.
Stage 1 comprised the construction, commissioning and handover of a new training building and equipment shed, together with bike storage facilities, solar and generator enclosures, commissioning of a new pad-mount substation and removal of redundant electrical infrastructure. Stage 2 completed the broader redevelopment, including demolition of existing administration and support buildings, modifications to the existing training substation facility, and new carparking, landscaping, hardstands and site services, together with EV charging stations and solar shade structures.
Delivery within an active training campus required careful staging, logistics planning and stakeholder coordination to safely manage construction activities around existing operations and infrastructure. The completed redevelopment provides Energy Queensland with a modern, functional and more sustainable training facility designed to support its ongoing workforce development requirements.
