Edge Hill State School

Located in Edge Hill on the outskirts of Cairns CBD, this project delivered a new Administration Building and Student Support Hub designed to meet the needs of a rapidly growing school community.

The purpose-built facility includes staff work areas, principal’s office, student waiting areas and accessible ramp connections, creating a welcoming and functional front-of-house environment. Comprehensive ICT upgrades were also undertaken, including new fibre optic connections across the campus, significantly enhancing connectivity and digital capability.

Delivered within a live and constrained school environment, the works required careful staging, holiday programming and coordinated site management to maintain safety and minimise disruption. Prefabricated framing and lightweight wall systems streamlined construction and supported early completion. The completed hub provides a modern, inclusive and future-ready facility that strengthens school operations and student support services.
