CSIRO Research Facility

The project delivered a new purpose-built research shed facility with associated earthworks, designed to support specialised operational requirements.

The facility was developed to accommodate CSIRO’s robotics program, requiring a highly controlled internal environment with a level floor and minimal trip hazards to enable safe and precise movement of equipment. The building incorporates a gantry crane system to facilitate lifting and handling operations, including access to a testing pool.

Constructed on rock, the project required careful excavation and foundation works to address challenging ground conditions. Through detailed planning and coordinated delivery, the facility was successfully completed, providing a functional and technically capable environment tailored to advanced research applications.
