Cavendish Road State High School

Located in Holland Park, this project involved the delivery of a purpose-built Performing Arts and Music Centre designed to support creative and performance-based learning within the campus.

The state-of-the-art facility includes a performance stage, dedicated drama and music learning areas, dressing and make-up rooms, box office/kiosk, staff amenities and specialist production spaces. Advanced facilities such as a digital store, recording suite, green room, editing annex and multimedia learning area provide students with access to professional-quality environments that foster collaboration, creativity and technical skill development.

External works incorporated landscaped areas, a detention tank and a lower-ground loading zone with accessible parking, improving site functionality and circulation.

Delivered within a live school environment and tight timeframe, the project required strong design coordination and proactive problem-solving to maintain program certainty. The completed centre provides a contemporary, high-performance environment that enhances arts education and strengthens the school’s creative capability.
