Cairns Officeworks

Delivered in the heart of the Cairns CBD, Officeworks Cairns comprised a two-storey, 3,500m² retail showroom designed to provide a contemporary, customer-focused shopping environment.

The development included a 3,400m² Class 6 retail space with receiving areas and storerooms, together with a mezzanine level accommodating offices, training rooms and amenities. External works enhanced customer accessibility through dual street access, subtropical landscaping and delivery of 89 retail carparks — more than doubling the site’s previous capacity — including DDA spaces, trolley bays and bicycle parking.

Despite experiencing approximately 60 days of adverse weather and international supply pressures affecting structural steel procurement, proactive supplier engagement and program recovery strategies enabled completion six weeks ahead of schedule. The completed store, now one of the largest Officeworks facilities nationally, was commended for its quality, efficiency and professional delivery.
