Bamaga Housing

Located in the remote Cape York community of Bamaga, this Design and Construct project delivered a new staff housing facility designed to meet operational and accommodation needs.

The works involved demolition of an existing two-storey structure, followed by design development and construction of a new three-bedroom highset residence. The building incorporates a lock-up garage, storeroom and internal staircase, together with split system air conditioning and integrated security systems, providing a functional and secure accommodation solution.

Delivered in a remote environment, the project required careful planning, client engagement throughout the design phase and efficient coordination of works to maintain programme certainty. Through disciplined project management and a strong client-focused approach, the development was completed six weeks ahead of schedule and within budget, delivering a high-quality outcome that exceeded client expectations.
