The St Bernard State School project at Tamborine Mountain delivered the refurbishment of an existing outdoor learning area, transforming it into a functional hall and performance space for the school community.

The works involved repurposing an existing awning structure and blockwork storage shed to create a combined hall with a stage, including minor demolition and extension of the structural steel to achieve the required height and functionality. The design incorporates an external Exotec cladding system with a modern colour palette, complemented by durable internal finishes including painted plywood and fibre cement.

The upgraded facility also features motorised louvre windows and roller doors, providing flexibility for ventilation and use, along with capacity for future lighting and audio-visual enhancements. The completed space delivers a versatile and contemporary environment that supports assemblies, performances and outdoor learning activities.
