Expansion of teaching capacity at Kawana Waters State College was achieved through the delivery of a new two-storey Learning Centre, purpose-designed to provide flexible and contemporary education spaces within the campus.

The facility incorporates multiple General Learning Areas, a dedicated science laboratory and staff facilities, creating adaptable environments that support a broad range of curriculum requirements. External works included new car parking, landscaped areas and improved pedestrian connectivity, strengthening accessibility and integration with the existing school grounds.

Constructed within a live school environment, the project required proactive trade coordination, early procurement strategies and careful sequencing to manage weather impacts and supply chain pressures. The building was handed over ahead of the new school term, allowing staff to fully prepare learning spaces prior to student return. The completed centre provides a modern, functional and engaging environment that enhances the college’s long-term educational capability.
